Iprova has launched Claims Charting, a new capability designed to help IP and standards teams work through patent portfolios faster and with greater consistency. The tool maps patent claims against 3GPP Technical Specifications, supporting portfolio-level triage, specification identification and structured claims chart generation.

Claims Charting addresses one of the most time-intensive tasks in standards-based IP work. Teams can run batches of 50 or more patents at a time, with an AI Assistant guiding users through the process from initial screening to final output. Charts are fully editable, keeping the analyst in control while removing much of the manual groundwork.

Integrated into Iprova’s broader IP intelligence platform, Claims Charting can also be used as a standalone capability. Optional integration with a live standards document browser allows users to review TDocs, TRs and TSs alongside patent literature for verification and deeper context.

Early beta users have reported significant time savings and improved alignment between R&D and IP teams.
